きだと申します。

"honour a check" (cheque とも綴るようです）で、「小切手を受け取る」というイディオム？があるので、"honored"
は「受け取られる」とか「引き取られる」でいいのではないでしょうか。この文脈であれば「引き継がれる」でもよいかと。
