「サポートする」は「既定値を false にする」の理由ではないです。

「〜はこれをサポートし、デフォルトは false である。」や
「〜はこれをサポートする。デフォルトは false である。」が妥当かと。

同様の書き方 (「defaults to false」)はほかにも出てくると思いますが、
それらの翻訳も同様。

元の分がちょっと変というか冗長というかなので、「隔離ディレクトリ内に
ディレクトリを作成するときに割り当てるモード(パーミッション)を
8進数表記で指定する。」とか。

雑だが、
「VFS モジュール streams_depot は代替ストリームをファイルで
  保持するが、vfs_virusfilter はそれらのファイルもスキャンする。」
程度で…(途中で飽きたので、これは無視してもらっても構いません)
