vi smb.conf && testparm をすっかり忘れておりました。

$ testparm
Password:
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Processing section "[homes]"
Unknown parameter encountered: "browserble"
Ignoring unknown parameter "browserble"
Loaded services file OK.
Server role: ROLE_STANDALONE
Press enter to see a dump of your service definitions
...

と、赤面してしまいました。

man smb.conf
 browseable (S)
              This controls whether this share is seen in the list
              of available shares in a net view and in the  browse
              list.

              Default: browseable = yes

と書いてありました。恥ずかしい…

修正後、samba を restart させましたところ、
マイネットワークには $USER 名のディレクトリのみ
表示をすることができました。
